Welcome to Alexa's Page !!!! Alexa was born with a facial PWS covering the left outer eyelid into her scalp.She also has some pws on her upper cheek,and top of her ear and a little behind it. She is currently a patient of Dr. Geronemus at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center in New York. He began treating her when she was six weeks old. She has had 19 treatments so far.He has accomplished for Alexa what I was previously told was impossible. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have met Dr. Geronemus and his staff. The goal of this site is to give hope and support to other new parents. My only advice to a new parent is to love your baby. It can be overwhelming in the beginning, but they grow so fast. Enjoy your baby and try to incorporate the medical necessities in their life and not make it the focus of their life.Find a good Doctor that is knowledgable in Vascualr Malformations.If you belong to support groups, educate yourself. You can only make the decisions for your child. Follow your heart and your instinct. Enjoy your little one.
